Playing your X Media
CDExtra
To start the X Media CDExtra on Windows,
simply double-click the CD-ROM icon. Or browse the CD and double-click on the
file 'CDEXTRA.exe'. Macintosh users can simply double click on the icon named
'Click Me'
Minimum Requirements
- Windows 98SE, Windows
ME, Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Pro, Mac
OS 9.1 or higher, 10.2 or higher
- Pentium II or higher
with Windows 98SE, Windows ME
- Pentium III or higher
with Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Pro
- G3 or higher for Macintosh
- at least 64MB RAM
above recommended OS memory level
- Internet Explorer
5.0 or higher
- To view videos, you need
Quicktime 6.0 or higher (included on disc)
- CD-ROM drive comptatible
with Enhanced CDs.
(If you are unsure of the capabilities of your CD-ROM drive, please contact
your hardware manufacturer to verify that your drive contains Enhanced
CD (Blue Book/Multi-session)
compatible firmware.)
Troubleshooting
Sound Problems
- Are your speakers plugged in?
Is your volume turned up?
- Make sure sound is configured correctly
in Control Panels. To check,
go to Control Panels, select Sound, select Sound In, select
Internal CD, select Play-through.
- Your CD-ROM drive may not be
100% multi-session compatible.
Since it is possible there may be an upgrade for your drive,
contact your hardware manufacturer for further information.
Video problems
- If you cannot see videos make
sure Quicktime 6.0 or higher is installed. Double click on the'Quicktime
Installer' icon.
Online problems
- Do you have a direct
connection to the Internet via modem, T1, ISDN
line or other? If not, you will not be able to go online.
- Make sure the browser
you are using can connect to the Internet site
outside of the CD EXTRA. Try launching your browser and opening
the URL: http://www.cdextra.com.
If it does not work there, it will not work from within the title.
- For best results, use
the latest version of a current browser such as Netscape Navigator 4.0 or
Internet Explorer 4.5.
- If you receive an error
message when you try to go online you may
not have enough free memory available. Make sure no other applications
are open when you launch the X Media CDExtra.
Enhancing the performance
of your CD EXTRA
Turn off all other programs while
you are running the Enhanced CD. This includes applications, clocks, screen
savers and other software.

City Station, P.O. Box 844, New York, NY 10101-0844, for a full refund.
- LICENSE; COPYRIGHT; RESTRICTIONS.
You may install and use your copy of the Software on a single computer. You
may not network the Software or otherwise use or install it on more than one
computer or terminal at the same time. The Software (including any images,
text, photographs, animations, video, audio, and music) is owned by SONY BMG Music
Entertainment Inc. or its suppliers and is protected by United States copyright
laws and its international treaty provisions. You may not rent, distribute,
transfer or lease the Software. You may not reverse engineer, disassemble,
decompile or translate the Software.
- LIMITED WARRANTY. SONY BMG Music Entertainment Inc. warrants that the original Software disc[s] will
perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying printed materials
for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. SONY BMG Music Entertainment
Inc.'s entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be limited only to
replacement of the Software that is determined to be defective during the
warranty period. This Limited Warranty is void if the defective Software resulted
from accident, abuse, or misapplication. Any replacement Software will be
warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
- NO OTHER WARRANTIES.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SONY BMG Music Entertainment
Inc. disclaims all other warranties, either express or implied, including
but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose, with respect to the Software. This limited warranty gives
you no specific legal rights. You may have others, which vary from state/jurisdiction
to state/jurisdiction.
